Air-to-Water Intercooled Jeep Turbo!
Over the weekend, we had our first chance to test the intercooled Sidewinder Jeep Turbo. Even in prototype form and running 6.5 psi boost, the Air-to-Water intercooler setup demonstrated the ability to keep intake manifold air temperatures in check. After operating the Jeep all day with heavy off-road abuse, intake manifold air temperatures were below that of what the stock naturally aspirated Jeep sees. This is exciting for many reasons. The lower air temperatures mean more density and more power. Lower air temperature in general will reduce knock sensitivity meaning safer engine operation and more ignition timing. This increases power and efficiency.
With all the positive data we collected over the weekend, we are excited to proceed with the development of this kit. So keep your eyes peeled for more news as this product develops!

Off-Road Play Day was a success!
Over the weekend, we invited some local customers and fans to join us for some off-roading up in the Azusa Canyon area here near our shop. Not only did all our fans bring their Jeeps and trucks, but the Banks Sidewinder Jeep Turbo was out giving rides to anyone who wanted one. And what you may or may not know, the Jeep was rocking our air-to-water intercooler design. So the whole day, while our Engineers were giving rides to everyone, and working the Jeep, we were also testing out the design. Now, there will be more testing of course before we are ready to release that option, but the day's events were a great first test run and we were pleased with the results. So keep your eyes open for the intercooled Sidewinder Turbo System! Altogether, the turnout was incredible. We hung out, did some off-roading, and had a great time. In fact, we had so much fun that we want to do it again!
