slight rev

I recently bought a 2004 GMC 2500hd with the lly duramax
. I changed the oil and fuel filter and now it will slightly rev up while at a stand still no matter what gear. When it park it doesn't go above 1000 rpms so its a very slight rev but noticeably something not right.. Any suggestions?

What type/brand of oil filter did you go with?

Was the new fuel filter fully primed after installation? Sounds like there may be air in the system if the engine didn't do this just before the fuel filter replacement.
