OK, it's cold

Learning about cold weather since we moved to Oregon. It was -1 degrees this morning when I needed to take my daughter to college. Had to jump my truck. Then it died, repeatedly. So I'm guessing my fuel gelled? What to do and how to prevent this in the future?

Help from the cold weather regions would help this virgin out a lot.

Driving the Corolla this morning was not ideal.
