View Full Version : 6.5 crossover pipe
Looking for a new crossover pipe for my 1995 Chev 2500 4wd pu. Is factory GM best or an after market just as good? Does any body have one they want to sell?
Thanks,

Kennedy and Heath both have one (or at least they did the last time I checked) that is superior. Factory "can" be OK, but sometimes the pinch-bend cuts the ID down too much. If you can pass a golf ball through easily, it's fine. Don't get suckered into buying extra large DP's, though - they don't do anything for performance, and may actually hurt.
SSDieselSupply.com sells a S/S crossover pipe.

I got one a few years ago and have never had a problem since, works great and was a nice fit...
One word of advice: if your going to do the crossover pipe, make sure you soak the bolts with penetrating oil for a few days so they don't break like mine did... I had to weld studs to them in order to get the old bolts out...
Get new gaskets [Lead] and bolts as well, it will make your life much easier!

#1 tip, right there! Hit it twice a day, if possible.

Flowmaster makes a downpipe and crossover pipe kit that is pretty good quality and not too expensive.
Got mine from Summit Racing.
Kennedy Diesel also gets my vote.
