G30 6.2 Alternator Bracket Find One?

My lower has cracked to broken any leads would be helpful or am I going to have to superman weld it to make it better than before?

My guess is that finding a good used bracket will be difficult. Even if you did, it could have the same problem as yours.

I'd let a good fabricator repair the one you have, and perhaps add some strengthening in the process.

If you have a welder fix it...make sure they anneal the part after the fact and also try to leave the welds high and add material any place possible. I have repaired many different mounting brackets over the years and the common reason for failure is work hardening and then cracking. If you have a crack in one spot, there will be more to follow if you just weld up the crack and ignore the heat affect zone and the stress related issues. The entire bracket needs to be "repaired". Brazing is sometimes preferred if done right. Try to find a welder that is a "metal worker" and not just a welder.;)
