I'm no longer a virgin.....

New IP, injectors, glow plugs, timed, set and ready to rock! Starts up fast. Makes boost like crazy too, cant figure that out. Has a little bit more rattle than it used too...guess this is good, timing is to spec.

Thanks to diesel page members who gave advice. Also thanks to Kennedy Diesel and Gomers for supplying great parts and giving sound advice.

Also thanks to Jim Bigley for his 6.5 r&r guide...I used it like a cook book, sitting on my bench.

I rate this job as a 7-8 for difficulty, took me 3 days to accomplish. Diesel shops quoted me in excess of 1200 (labor only) for the job.

Is that GM/OEM , or TDP 1.94 offset??

For right now I'm set around factory spec..

approx 3.5 actual base timing
.088 TDC offset

my tech 1 wouldn't let me get to those big numbers (1.94) that it did last time.

I just now remembered how I got them to show up, anyways she runs very well and I hardly have use the pedal to get the old girl moving.

Great job--I know when I did my injectors (on the 1993)I would not of done them if not for the support of Jim (More Power) and the support of the pre-forum members.
