82 6.2 ran good ,today it died runs for a minute then dies abruptly like turned off

Only had the truck a short time. Don't know anything about it. please help. been running good and today it died not like out of fuel . like it shut off. Checked seperater thought that was filter? drained replaced . It filled back up checked for fuel out of lines at manifold seems like it has 7-9 lbs . like the napa guy said . dual tanks and seems switch started working today noticed after it died that the normal L/h where it should be but I switched to right when it died said full .hmm could be but R/hdidnt work two months ago. seems to begetting fuel . is there a oil senser or anthing like that that could be bad.need help stuck n no truck thanks . also noticed the alternater doesn't always charge thasnks for any help

Is the truck turning over fast?
Check the fuel shut off wire. this would be the single wire going to injector pump. It should have voltage with the key ON, when you remove the wire you hear should a click.
If that seems to be working then it is possible that you have an air leak in the system and you are sucking air someplace.
