:confused: when we changed my inj. pump the new one came with a short piece of harness attached to the top of the pump,can't remember if the old pump had this harness or not.Do I need it????The dealer did have trouble setting the timing and she does run kinda funny.Any thoughts???? thanks in advance. :cool:

You've got the same question I've been wondering about for mine. I got a new injection pump for my new engine and it didn't come with this harness. This harness is a filter that supposed to filter the current going into and out of the pump.

Now, the question is, do you REALLY need it. I sure don't know.

Some have reported that it is not used on later model 6.5's but is on the earlier ones like the 94/95. I don't know if there will be any harm in not having this filter that connects to the top of the pump's optic sensor.
