'89 6.2L Injection Pump

I came across an '89 light duty K2500 in a junk yard today with a 6.2L and an SM465 4 spd. The truck really wasn't in that bad of shape and the odometer read 063,xxx miles, so it may actually only have 63,000 miles on it. I can probably get the injection pump for around $50. Would that be worth it? Is the '89 pump any more desirable than the stock one on my '83 K2500? I would use it as a spare for my '83.

Buy it.Get the injection lines too.Can be used for an exchanged /core for a rebuild by one of the Diesel Page vendors.Consider getting the injectors too.If you want get really serious,offer $300.00 for the whole engine.Engine parts and fastners are getting harder to find.Let us know your results.

Ask about the whole truck. The SM465 is a great transmission.
