I tried a search on this and din't really come up with much.
SOOoooo....I have a new to me 1986 M1009 blazer with 56k on the odo. It runs fine and the CDR is functioning with a slight vac in the block. I just installed a mechanical oil pressure guage. The line is taped into the oil sampling port that the military put on the cooler line by the radiator. On my guage the oil presure reads 65-70 psi cold idle, 45-55 psi hot idle and 55-65 psi hot on the road at 1800-2000rpm.
Does this sound normal? Seems high to me and I am wondering what could cause HIGH consistent oil pressure?
