So I'm down to my C30 84 Van - It's given me 7k miles essentially trouble free..... last night shed died.

But started back up every time & got home....

So today's bonzi maintenance is to replace the the leaky original fuel filter with a Racor- That old filter had not been touched by what poured out after I removed it may of been clogged.....

I just finished the bracket & am ready to plum her up-

Any reminder tips on purging do's & don'ts would be appreciated-

She now has 33k-

Disconnect the pink wire (ESS) and the fuel inlet line at the IP. Crank until you get a good flow at the line, reconnect and tighten. Loosen the 4 injector lines on the driver's side. If your starter or batteries are questionable, remove as many glow plugs as you can to speed up the cranking, and reduce the cranking load. Crank until you get wet line nuts, tighten (and replace glow plugs).

Start.

OK, that reminds me ...last time I ran out of fuel, I got away with just the IP bleed at the input line & unplugging the pink solenoid wire...;)

Thanks!

UPDATE - OK I got a way with the cheat with out bleeding driverside lines....

Darn if the little Racor plastic fitting didn't break off right after bleeding though......

Now a handfull of vacuum lines to replace ...might help the shift ;)
