400 Trans bolts

Does anyone have some tips for removing or installing the top transmission bolts on a 84 chevy truck with a 400 trans? :confused:

I use a long extension or several if you don't have 1 long 1andgo in from the back of the trk from underneath I also use a cv joint style socket and it makes it relatively easy

Glad it helped I fought my 93 burban for a long time tell I stepped back and took a minute then it just jumped out and slapped me in the face

The long xtens work well.
I have a CUSTOM BY HEAT bent to fit long box end wrench that I snake down from above to get the bolts broke loose, then use the xtns and wratchet to get them out.

I have seen a couple rigs where someone cut two nice little round holes in the firewall to access those bolts from inside, then stuffed in rubber plugs.
