help overboost code for no reason

Ok I have been reading and reading and think I have tried it all... I got a 01 lb7 190k.. inj done 10k ago stock with 5in.. I have cleaned maf checked baro had computer reflashed and updated .. gave all my hoses and fitting a once over... I'm out ideas.. and that is only code... but it keeps limping on my as soon as I tow anything At cruisein. Speed

Do you have a boost gauge in the truck?

You may be overboosting and don't know it.

Yes well I have my quadzilla commander it shows 18lb ish... it only does it.when ur.trying cruise 70-80 MPH part throttle ..ESP if u have some weight behind it. if.u hold it wide open it don't do it

Without getting into a ton of detail, the 2001's were "unique" and have a much greater instance of limp modes and phantom limp modes. Boost, fuel psi etc can all cause this. On a regular basis I am tuning these trucks (hundreds so far) to fix these issues permanently.

Well another new symptoms is I am now leaking fuel on drivers side appears tone coming from driverside head area.. then driping off oil filter and front driveline

Check the return lines etc. a bit of talcum powder can help trace back to origin.

U think this has anything todo with it throwing codes all sudden now for boost?

Highly unlikely unless it were underboost from being underfueled but that's just a wild guess with the limited detail available.

We've heard reports through the years of trucks that would set boost codes after sitting for long periods in moist climates. It appears the turbo's wastegate would rust and stick closed. So, unbolt the turbo wastegate actuator and see whether the wastegate lever on the side of the turbo can move freely.

I agree with JK about the fuel leak source. It could be the fuel return line or possible the supply line. There are quick-disconnect fittings for both lines above the driver's side valve cover. See if that's where the leak begins.

So I fixed all my fuel leaks and replaced fpr... she idles smoother and seams to run cleaner but I'm still throwing overboost code at 5-10 psi cruisein down hyw at 70-75 MPH
