had the MIL light on and go the codes read to see what problem was. came up as 404 which is the EGR system. talked to diesel mechanic, said not to get to worried but to check the vacum lines to the EGR and then to get a ball bearing or cork and to plug the line. so that comp thinks that it is always working, no worry about not enough vacum to open and close valve.
