I've experienced sticking defrost/heater blend doors lately and even found 1/4" wide black strips of what must be door flap pads that have come off the blend doors coming out the lower heater vents. Switching from defrost to heat or vent on my '95 creates a clanking sound and it seems to drag at times.
The little electric motor that controls the levers (by throttle pedal) was replaced, but appears there is more to it as there wasn't anything wrong with that.
What is involved to gain access to the heater vent doors to repair them? Does the whole dash have to come out, or can repairs be made without going that far? The factory manual doesn't seem to be much help, or I am missing something.
