Hi, I am wanting to swap the Nerf Bars for some Owens Runner Boards full length Diamond Plate, Classic Pro style for my 2500HD 2002 Silverado.
Has anyone else got these, and if so how do you rate them ?

I am having a little trouble also getting them shipped to England, and Owens will not sell to me direct, but retailers do not use same product codes ???

I am worried they will turn up the wrong type !!!!

Full-length diamond plate running boards are a little old-school nowadays.

I saw the AMP Research PowerStep (http://www.amp-research.com/products/truckaccessories/powerstep/) retractable running boards installed on a couple of trucks, and they are cool, look great and can easily support the weight of a big guy.

I've had a set of color-matched "GlaStep" line of running boards on my truck for many years. Still look great and have held up very well.

Same here! I have the Owens Glastep got them in '02 and they still look good. Mine are black on a Summit White Dooley.

Also, running boards do a lot to protect the sides of the truck from stone chips as well as mud and grime. They're not a good idea for a rough country truck that travels occasionally off-road, but they remain an excellent choice for everyone else... Jim

I agree because having a running board can affect ground clearance. But Powestep is definitely a good choice since it is retractable.
