Tilt steering wheel dragging

On my '83 Sub, the tilt wheel mechanism has developed a lot of resistance and seems to slowly be getting worse. The steering movement has not changed at all. Any fix to this??

On my '83 Sub, the tilt wheel mechanism has developed a lot of resistance and seems to slowly be getting worse. The steering movement has not changed at all. Any fix to this??

Column needs rebuilt. The kit is fairly cheap. One of the bearings is going out or is out and is allowing the shaft to move enough to rub on the housing.
