View Full Version : 6.5L van vs. truck valvetrain compatibilty?

Just curious to know if the valvetrain from the heads of a van can be swapped directly onto the heads for the trucks? I know the heads themselves are different but wanted to be sure everything else is the same.

It will all swap right over.
Injectors are different though.

Yes. And the valve stem seals. Also be sure to lap the valves, if you aren't having a grind job done. It's also a good time to refresh the end caps and soft plugs.
