IP replacement question??

I'm preparing for my date with the injection pump. Will put in new injectors and plugs while I have things apart.

Question...Can you install the IP 180 degrees out? I know there is a locator so the pump goes in one way only however, can the pump driven gear be out of sequence like a distributor??

Cannot find this anywhere in the service manual.

The pump drive will only fully bolt to the IP drive gear one way, and get all three bolts in. You are not in danger of being 180 out unless the IP driven gear is moved out of alignment.

So as long as the holes and slots line-up it's hard to screw-up...like it! :D
