89 chevy 6.5 t??

My junk guy called me today and said he just got in an 89 chevy pickup with

a 6.5 I am to assume this is a repower am I correct I am going to check it

out in the am I can pick up the whole slop and shaboottle for a couple

benjamins will this engine have a one piece rear seal I am looking for

something for annother project just cant seem to have enough of these must

be a fetish lol:o

If it's a 6.5L, it has a one-piece. If it's a late 6.2L, it may have a one-piece.

If it's a "599" block, it could be either a 6.2L or 6.5L, with a one-piece.

I will try to get the trans out and check or maybey I can get at the numbers

on the left side enough to see the casting numbers they said the cab was

ripped off im looking for a 599 because I want something I can put a forged

crank in I have a project that I want to put an 18 to 1 6.5 td in and all the

forged cranks I see on line are for the 1 piece rear main seal engine
