If you have an 89 gmc sierra diesel, and the torque converter won't lock up, check voltage between the blue and black wires coming out of the tps. If the motor is hot, and at idle the blue wire is reading 5 volts, then take the tps off and find a washer that fits exactly where it appears a washer could go on the back of the tps, stick it in there, and it will fix yer problem!
