The 3 hole mounting bracket is upside down on the DB4, probably wouldn't work.

You don't believe that it would be possible to modify a timing cover to compensate for the different pattern?

Justin I would say yes, it is possible but wonder why you would want to use it? The DB2 can handle HP levels to slightly over 300 HP and is available many places.

I was mainly thinking of the higher injection pressures. If my memory serves me the DB4 can handle 10,000psi, while the DB2 can only handle 2800psi. That is only if my memory is working tonight.

Peninsular Diesel (http://www.peninsulardiesel.com/) must have a modified timing case to mount the DB4 specified for their 400HP 6.5LTD, so they might be able to supply it as a separate item?
FYI, running the pump at max injection pressure will shorten it's life, but if the application is drag racing, I'm sure that won't be a problem :D .
A couple of people have posted about the possibility of mounting a DB4 head on a DB2 pump housing . There have also been a few comments about using the inline pump from the 9.0L International V8 .
