After swapping on the 'new' injection pump a while back, it was time to get things running good again.
I finally tracked down a Tech II through a friend who works for a GM dealership, and tonight we set the TDC offset to -1.94. It took a few tries to get it right...kept ranging from -1.32 to -2.02.
I also installed a # 9 resistor in the PMD (before we set the timing).
The biggest change was the installation of my new Kennedy Diesel TD-Max performance chip! :D Wow! I love the massive amount of torque I can feel down low in the RPM range. Before tonight, when climbing hills in overdrive, the boost slowly climbed before the truck downshifted. Now, the boost climbs rapidly and pulls hard without downshifting! I can't wait to hook on a trailer and check out the towing performance.
So far, I'm quite pleased.
I can't wipe the grin off my face! :D :D
