Wellll the truck has been running like a top for many years and haven't worked her to hard and kept her clean....today I was backing up with a load of garbage for the dump and put it in reverse and a slight jolt and nothing....just idled...put in od and drove away and got to 2nd gear all the way home ( 5 miles)...I have Drive, 2nd and 1st just no R, lights go on in the back just nothing.
I was looking though my service manuals and on page 7A-17A-30 of the service manual the only thing I can see is a rear band broken or the rear band anchor pin broken. The tranny has had the fluid and the filter changed and no codes came up.
I just hit 300km's and just wondering what I can expect for a repair cost. She's not worth a hellva lot these days but if it's more than it's worth I might have to move on.
Any help put there as to what it might cost to get her runnin?
