Hello,

Been reading this forum for a while, bought two of the 6.5 books a few months back and liked them, so I thought I'd sign up.

The oil cooler lines on my rig are seeping, not quite a full-on dripping leak yet but it's getting there. I've researched the boards and have several replacement options in mind, first and second on the list are the kits made by pmdcable.com and lubricationspecialist.com

BTW, it's OK to list the web addy's for reference only, correct?

Anyway, anyone used either of these kits and have an opinion on them? There seem to be few functional differences besides cost, which is marginal. I'm having a hard time deciding which one.

My rig, if anyone cares, is a 1995 C2500 Vin "F". Bought it in October with 90,000 miles. I've driven and worked on 6.5's extensively but never owned one before. Runs great!

Thanks in advance for the input.

Welcome to the Forums!

Both suppliers you mention are TDP Supporters (http://www.thedieselpage.com/vendors/main.htm), and may be discussed as necessary. The only problems we have with suppliers is promoting some, not all, products/sites that don't support TDP. If a supplier is not listed and you want to discuss Diesel or truck product they offer, please contact me or Jim (email or "contact us" link at the bottom of the pages). There are a lot of good products out there, but some are controversial (snake oil), or competitive with our supporters (we take care of our own, first). We also hold them accountable for products they sell to our members.

TDP, won't normally endorse one product over another, especially when they are competing supporters. We will relate personal experiences with products from time to time (we're Diesel-heads, too). I've known Greg Landuyt (lubespecialist) for a decade, and he's been here longer than that. PMDCable hasn't been here as long, but I see nothing to suggest his products are less credible. Both of them are available for contact, either on the forum, or through their site contacts. Greg answers his phone. PMDC may as well.

Thanks for the info... I poked around a little more and it really looks like a toss-up. So, we shall see...
