lifter noise?? rear main seal replacement

now that i am getting used to a diesel, i think i have a noisy lifter on the rh bank.i noticed it along time ago but i thought it might be the turbo, i pulled the tuna can and it seemed to get louder, any suggestions.

also can the one piece rear mains be replaced without pulling the motor, i have never seen one pulled apart, can you do it by just backing off the tranny?? thanks guys

You can pull the tranny to replace rear main.
