If anybody else is using this type setup, which filters do you use? i,ve found on for like $7 that has a drain, but no bowl at the bottom. I'd like one with the clear bowl and drain at the bottom. but then it would need a filter that was open at the top and bottom. any suggestions?

I use this setup, pre LP, with a 2 micron filter.....

I am going to change to a duel filter setup when I do my swap this fall, use a 10 micron first and a 2 micron second, the head has a heater and water separator with a clear bowl and water drain. Workes good and replacement filters are around 35$ each, and the primer button makes it easy to prime the filters before you get to the LP, so less work getting things primed.

That looks like the ideal setup. im assuming they have all different micron filters for the racor filter head. I would do a 10-20 micron filter before the LP, and if i had enough to do a dual setup like you mentioned, a 2 and a 10micron would be perfect. Also, in your sig, you have a db2 marine pump, thats the injection pump correct? are they more reliable? mechanical rather than relying on a PMD?

Thanks, not really new to the 6.5, but still learning.

For this filter head you have 3 choices, 2,10,30 micron, heated or not heated, and the primer button works great, and a clear bowl to see what gets trapped and drain the water.

And as for the DB2 pump, my 91 truck doesn't have a computer, everything is manual on it.
