water pump

I need to put new water pump on my 6.2 86 van . I have checked Rockauto.com, many diffrent brands/ AC Delco ,Bosch and others/. Any suggestions ?. Engine has 300k miles, still runs very good, thinking about timing set when I am there.Do just chain, or whole set. Looking for very good quality parts.Thanks. George.

Hi George, with 300k on the clock I'd just do the waterpump. Which can be used later one should you repower in the event you need to. Nothing wrong with the AC Delco pumps, that's my choice.
