VIN check please

i am considering purchasing this truck and would like a VIN check if I could. If possible i would like to know the rear end gear ratio, or is there another way to find that. thanks Frank

Rear end ratios, unless changed by an owner (the report will only show this if done at a dealership), are relatively simple. If you are looking at a 2500HD or 3500, it will be 4.10 or 3.73 with a gasser, or 3.73 with a Diesel (the only factory option). In any case, the RPO code list will indicate the axle. The RPO code list will be on the new vehicle delivery report, and on a sticker inside the glove box. According to the VIN you posted, it is a Diesel (8th digit is "D", meaning LBZ engine series), therefore has a 3.73 axle ratio. I'm not able to pull up vehicle reports, so you'll have to wait for that.
