1993 transmission help???

hi i have a 1993 diesel not shure what trans is in it square pan have a trans out of a 96/97 pan is square in the front oval on the back and the pan tapers up to the back all hookup looks the same will this work in the truck ????

ok there both 4l80e but the one i have to put in is from a 1998 anyone know if it is a direct bolt in ??????

There were some changes in valve body control and even with the electrical connector. I don't know the details, but someone here should - or you could contact a local trans shop that knows the 4L80-E. If they are different, it might be possible to swap valve bodies.

It'll bolt in, 2wd trans is different output shaft to 4wd,.
check the electrical plug,.if its different then the wiring harness needs to be swapped,.
