I hope some of y'all can help me identify a trans, and thanks in advance for help. I used to have a 1982 c-10 pickup with the 6.2. It came with a great manual transmission, and it wasn't the sm465, because it had an OD. 1st was not granny gear, 2nd gear 3rd gear and OD, then reverse to the left of all that was the shifting pattern.
This truck has since been towed away by the city. I need to track down this same trans to drop in my 88 6.2 suburban to replace the non highway friendly th400. Plus, stick rules supreme anyway. :cool:
Looking at the owners manual and some brochures that came with my new(old) burb, I see that they never offered manual trans with the 6.2 suburbans. What a shame...
So any idea what transmission I had?
