battery cables

I have batteries with top and side mounts. Truck is set up with factory side mount cables. Any problem adding additional grounds using the top lugs?

No problem with one exception ,

That added ground should be as heavy as the factory ground . If the factory ground fails , poor connection etc. , ( highly unlikely ) but should it fail and your added ground can't handle the current you may be looking at a fire.
