I was wondering if anyone has changed a heater core in a 94 suburban ? is there any tips or tricks i need to know to get this job done ?

I've done it on my 95 Suburban, which is similar (different interior styling, but I think the same H/VAC module.
It's a big job. You have to remove the steering column and lay the dash down against the seat. It's also best to remove the air box and turbo to allow access to the hose connections and H/VAC module fasteners. You also need to remove the coolant surge/overflow tank.
If you have A/C, you will have to recover the refrigerant and disconnect the refrigerant lines from the evaporator.
The whole H/VAC module can then be removed from the firewall and placed on the bench. Then you can take the bottom cover off and remove the heater core.
