once again i broke down, this time it was the transfer case shift fork. this is the second 7.00 aluminum part that failed on me, first one was in the tranny.
this time it was my fault. when i reinstalled the case i didnt notice a crack in the front seal.i believe it pumped all my fluid out.
fortunately my tranny buddy got me a complete rebuild kit for 100.00, figured with 175 k it doesnt hurt to rebuild it anyway.
i would recommend whenever you have the transfer case off to replace the front and rear seals, they are easy to do, unless of course you know they have been done recently.
once again thanks to this site i was able to determine the problem easily and do the repair thanks again guys smile.gif
