Hanging RPM's

[6.5 Detroit Diesel]

Been experiencing some weird WOT behavior on the truck.

Coming from 1-2 at heavy throttle, the rpms will hang for a second after letting off the throttle. More black smoke then usual.

PMD is three months old.

Any ideas?

PMD failure.
Dipaco,Dtech,Dorman,GM replacement are all Flight Systems PMD's and they have been known to cause a wide open throttle.

Other option is a problem with the IP itself.

PMD is a Dorman. I will be checking out a replacement right away
