Any Recent Info For Converting to Mech. Injection on 6.5 TD w/4L80E

Did some searches, have the 1999 diesel page book along w/Q & Q disks, but is there any recent info to help me convert to a mechanical pump while retaining my 4L80E?

Have to dig in a wrecking yard for the stock harness and box that controls the trans on 90-93 mechanical injected trucks. I think vans went to 94-95 with the same set up. Or www.compushift.com (http://www.compushift.com)
and get ready to spend some bucks on the external controllers.

Grape is on the right track, but its not quite that easy. Pre 94 TCMs are not compatible with your 4L80E. There are TCMs available, but require some work to install. Unfortunately on the 4X4's they require a transmission disassembly to install a reluctor ring & sensor. However, this is the route I recommend. You can do it using the stock PCM and a modified APP unit, but I could never get it to shift properly.
