Has this been discussed here?My mechanic bought a new DMax and says he`s looking into it.Wouldn`t that be a good way to go?

amsoil bypass filter gets rid of most of teh carbon and really small crap out of the oil, i run them on all my trucks and love it oil looks more like its coming out of a gas engine than a diesel

Oh,ok.That`s what I was wondering.I just never noticed any mention of decarbonizing specifically.I know big rigs use them. They keep the oil from"sooting",allow more miles, and wipe-out all that abrasion.
