trouble codes

i had my truck scanned again today it shows up as code 71 engine speed too low. cant find any info about this anywhere does anyone have any ideas?

What vehicle are you talking about? DTC 71 on a 94-95 is a cruise control switch fault.

Did you check to make sure the Engine Speed Sensor found on the back of the engine is connected?

This is part of the oil pump drive that goes where vacuum pump could go, or where a distributor for a gasser would be.

Check the condition of these wires. Possibly this has gone bad and been causing your transmission issues?
