Short commute

We are thinking about moving closer to my workplace. This would cut my commute down from 21 miles one way to between 3 and 9 miles one way.

Are the short commutes hard on the D-max?

Short commutes are not good for any engine, but I guess in my opinion, the Dmax should be one of the better choices in diesels to subject to this as the high psi fuel system seems to do a very good job of starting and supporting clean combustion in very low temps.
