Here are some pics of my recent Holset install. I bought a used turbo and rebuilt it - bearings and seals from Ebay. I re-tapped the oil feed to 3/8" pipe thread to accept the 6.5 fitting. I made an exhaust fitting to connect the turbo output to the exhaust pipe. This took a bit of inginuity but it fit up well. Next I made a heat shield of 16 gauge sheet metal and pop rivet together. I used a 18psi Garret wastegate actuator. So far my boost has peaked at 14 psi but this is not towing. Again, I have not tested under towing conditions, but with normal driving the only improvement I notice over my original GM4 is lower exhaust temps - maybe 100 deg F on average. Can't wait to take the Fifth wheel RV for a spin.
