Hey,
I just wanted to ask you before I kill the engine or the Injection pump.
-I installed the pump as I read it in the manuals: marked the pump drive and removed the old IP & installed the brand new mechanical 4911.
-The gear drive is installed like it was on the old pump, worked very good this far.
Well as for the startup procedure:
- Primed the oil pump
- Drained the fuel system from all remaining air, everything brand new (lines and so on)
- It started very fast but very rough, it shakes and sounds like a jackhammer.
-I left it run for max 5 seconds because I didn't want to risk any damage.
What do you think? Still some air in the lines?
