Dualie tire gap

My '93 cab & chassis rear wheels look to be nearly touching unloaded. I think the original tires were 215 now are 235's. What is the preferred fix to gain spacing?

My '93 dually came with 225/75R/16 tires. That's what I still run. No spacing problems with this size.

I run 235/85's with my dually. They are generally OK even with a pretty heavy load but you need to pay attention to them. I have had one blow out long ago caused by an underinflated inner tire that wasn't easy to spot. I pay a lot closer attention now! Kind of interesting the tires on my MH seem closer at times even though at full pressure. I watch those real close too! I thought about looking into a spacer ring or something on the rear, but I haven't had a problem except the once in the eight years I have had my dually.

I don't know about a preferred fix...

Maintaining proper tire pressure is a must! My '97 originally came with 225/75's. I have since changed them to 235/85's. They are an 'E' rated tire and I tow my gooseneck trailer with them inflated to the tire manufacturer's recommended 80 psi -- Always.
