I changed my Racor 445 fuel filter and then used the Racor primer pump to push fuel up to my stock filter. I started the truck and it ran for a minute and died. The stock filter had started leaking fuel and thus sucking air. I had to order new fuel heater quad rings from Stanadyne (part # 28869 they come in a pack of five) to get it to seal backup so the truck would run.
I've never had a issue in the past like this and I've had my Racor since 2002.
Has anyone had the primer on their Racor cause a leak on the stock GM/Stanadyne fuel filter?
How much pressure can the Racor primer produce?
