I need guidance on troubleshoot a stalling problem on a 1994 GMC Suburban 6.5TD.

The engine stalls within approximately ~30-min of start and then restarts with minor effort. It is a repeat of an earlier stall problem that a PMD replacement (~2-years ago) seemed to fix. The first go around was most obvious during summer driving, presumably because of the heat load. This time the problem is happening whether hot and cold (ambient). Note that I saw this issue during the summer but marked it up as a possible fuel filter/faulty fuel tank cap (high vacuum) issue.

This vehicle sees few miles. It is a back-up to my 6.2NA.

Thanks in advance, Larry

What brand of PMD is on the rig and where is it located.

The factory Stanadyne PMD's can fail no matter what the weather.

The PMD should be mounted remotely on a cooler.

A random failure is generally a PMD issue. If there are no codes showing, its almost a sure bet that this is the reason for the issue.

Are you getting fuel at the bowl when you bump the key, can you hear the fuel pump running when the key is turned to on?
