crank sensor

Has anyone ever had a problem removing a crank sensor from a 6.5? Mine is broken off below the surface of the block with no way to get ahold of it to pull it out. I need some advice, as I don't know what to do.

I had that happen to me...I ended up not removing it...

The engine was out, doing a swap, and I was destroying it trying to get it loose. I bought a new one, the old one stayed with the old engine.

However, I think JohnC suggested I screw a slide hammer into the sensor to remove it. I never had to use his suggestion, but it sounded pretty solid as there is no way to grip or coax that sucker out of its fox hole.
