Replacing 94 4l80e With 99 Or Newer 4l80e

Any compatbility issues with swapping a 99 or newer MT1 4L80E into a 94 chassis besides the cooler lines?

While some may disagree with me other will understand.
I have a 94 1ton myself with the 4l80e auto tranny and it has just gone as well. In my enquiring I have been told by the dealers that the 94 had different electronics from the other years and that the 94 is only interchangable with another 94.

Now that said from what I can read in teh tech manual there are a few differances but if one was to be carefull then one should be able to change a few things and use a different year.

personally I am yanking mine out tomorrow and rebuilding it myself.

That is true of the HD injection pumps, but I was not aware it was true of the transmission...
