Wont turn on

My truck now wont turn on 1984 6.2 diesel silverado. I replaced the ignition switch and it worked perfectly. So i went to turn it on it by pushing a glow plug button i have and then evreything went dead. I have no power to the windows but the lights and horn still work. Was there some sort of short that occured? i dont even have the fasten seat bealts light or low coolant when i turn the key. where could the short be i checked all the fuses and there all good or what is the problem? I started to pull the truck with another vehicle and then power came back. now im really stumped

Something you touched while doing the switch :confused:

You most likely had the battery cables unhooked while doing the ignition switch. Go back and make sure that the connections are clean and tight.

The plugs on the ignition switch may not be seated tight or there is an issue with one or more of the contact blades that go into the plug/switch.

Going to have to retrace your steps to see what has changed or that got disturbed during the switch change.
