Can a 6.5 get fuel into the oil somehow??
mine has great oil pressure for 2000mi or so then it slowly drops off ,. worse when hot,. oil seems really thin just before i change it,..

It's rare, but can happen. Have a sample tested for fuel contamination.
What brand/grade of oil?

canadian tire 15w40 oil,. not sure what grade it is? trucks eats 2 litres of it in 5000kms,. i change the oil every 5000kms,.

Try another brand of oil. Synthetic would be a significant turn-around. If it doesn't improve, you may have a real problem. 2l in 5K is about double what may be acceptable.
When it comes to oil for your engine that is the very last place to cheap out-definatly get away from the CTC stuff and go with Shell,Valvoline or Kendall oil or synthetic.
Kendall is my favorite but many folks like the Shell Rotella oil for diesels.

Try one time change to 30W . Do the Blackstone labs test at change time !
