OK, just barely got home. Bought a 93 Chevy 6.5 PU with 254600 miles and one LOUSY transmission. I was told reverse was questionable, if not unlikely, but driving in general was slow. At first it slipped in and out of gear and then stuck and didn't shift.
So, how do I find out what the transmission specs are and wear to go for a reman tranny or or a rebuild kit?
OK, starting to answer my own questions. It is either a 4L60 E or a 4L80E, and I need to check the ID Tag on the tranny.
