head gasket?

i have an 88 gmc suburban 6.2 diesel...its been blowin out white smoke and the oil pressure gauge has been jumping from 60 to 80 then down to 40 after its been running...that may just be a bad sensor though...but i started it up the other night, and about 10 seconds after running, the motor started banging and rocking...shaking the whole car...and it looks as if oil just poured out down the driver side of the engine...im really hoping that this is just a head gasket...already put enough money into this and i really love this car

Did you mean coolant? Oil pouring from the engine is bad news. That's the kind of news that makes a bad head gasket look like a blessing!

theres definitely oil leakin...it sounds like its suckin for air...and its really loud

:eek:ACK! Can you post pictures or video? I hate to sound like an alarmist, but I think you have a broken crankshaft or may have thrown a rod.:(
